Syracuse, N.Y. — Facility-wide searches of the Justice Center jail and Jamesville Correctional Facility turned up three homemade knives and more than 60 pills, deputies said Wednesday.
One person was also found with illegal drugs and was charged, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Thomas Newton said.

More than 150 deputies and 10 K9 units conducted the searches, Newton said. The searches were conducted on Jan. 18 and on Wednesday, he said.
One knife was found at Jamesville and two were found at the Justice Center, Newton said.
