Jefferson City man accused of drug trafficking out on bond – Jefferson City News Tribune

A Jefferson City man accused of directing drug activity while in prison has been released on bond.
Randdell Craig, 38, was charged with two counts of second-degree drug trafficking and one count of delivery of a controlled substance in December 2021. The bond he posted later that month was revoked two weeks ago after he was charged with new offenses, second-degree domestic assault and possession of a firearm, but was reduced and posted last week, allowing him to be released.
Craig was arrested in December on outstanding warrants and charges related to drug trafficking, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.
JCPD detectives monitored phone calls made by Craig the following days as he was being held in the county jail where he allegedly used coded language referencing ongoing illegal drug activity. Through these phone calls, authorities said they learned Craig was using a female to gather illegal drugs hidden at Craig’s residence on North Ventura Avenue, as well as in a vehicle parked outside the residence.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for Craig’s vehicle and officers reportedly found a computer bag containing around 240 grams of cocaine, 71 grams of Ecstasy tablets, 50 grams of heroin and 28 grams of marijuana.
Investigators talked with the woman Craig called from the county jail, and she allegedly admitted to gathering the drugs for Craig and hiding them in the trunk of the vehicle.
