Stolen Gun, Drugs Recovered During State Police Chase In Montco – Patch

AUDUBON, PA — Guns and drugs were recovered during a high-speed chase in Montgomery County recently, according to police.
The Pennsylvania State Police said that on Oct. 21 at around 2:52 p.m., state troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unspecified reason.
The vehicle driver failed to yield to emergency lights and sirens and a pursuit subsequently took place that lasted for about 5 to 6 miles, according to Shyeasha L. Ayala, a state police spokesperson.
The driver of the suspect vehicle ended up crashing out of view of the troopers and three suspects fled on foot.
Troopers at the scene recovered three firearms, one of which was determined to be stolen, Ayala said.
They also seized narcotics and ammunition from the vehicle.
The make and model of the vehicle was not released, nor was the amount of type of narcotics that were reportedly discovered.
Ayala said the incident occurred in the area of Egypt Road and Shannondell Boulevard in the Aububon section of Lower Providence Township.
A reader told Patch that a nearby elementary school was placed on a brief lockdown during the time of the police chase.
