Students dressed up for Red Ribbon Week

WINFIELD — Winfield-Mt. Union Elementary keep kids engaged with various activities and dress up days throughout the school year, this week, students were invited to dress-up for Red Ribbon Week.
Red Ribbon Week is meant to be a time to bring awareness to the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug problems.
On Monday students wore neon colors to show they are “too bright for drugs.”
Tuesday, they commemorated how friends don’t let friends do drugs, but dressing as twins.
Students aged themselves drastically, Wednesday, because “No Drugs=Long Life.”
Thursday, the school showed their pride of being drug free by showing their pride in being Americans with a red, white, and blue day.
To wrap the week, the school filled with student’s favorite book characters.
