Authorities in Orange County discovered various weapons, drugs and restraint items inside of the car belonging to a previously convicted man who has now been arrested on three felony charges.
Law enforcement officials now believe he may have connections to a criminal organization and illegal activity in the Mauriceville area.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced this week in a news release that Cebe Guilbeaux, 41, of Mauriceville was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail on Wednesday.
Guilbeaux was allegedly the driver of a vehicle that detectives with the Orange County Narcotics Division stopped at 10 p.m. that night on FM 1442 near Interstate 10 in Orange after it was “observed committing several traffic violations.”
Detectives asked Guilbeaux for consent to search the vehicle during the investigation, which allegedly led to the discovery of illegal drugs and weapons, the release said.
“Detectives located a large amount of methamphetamine along with two Chemical Dispensing Devices (CS Gas), which are prohibited weapons in the State of Texas, and a Keltec .380 handgun, which had the serial number removed, inside the vehicle,” the release said. “Also inside the vehicle were numerous other weapons such as knives, machetes, restraint devices (i.e., handcuffs, chains, etc.), and metal batons.”

He was arrested on the second-degree felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 for more than 4 grams and less than 200 grams of Methamphetamine. He was also charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon – Chemical Dispensing Device and Possession of Firearm by Felon, both third-degree felonies.
“Detectives believe Guilbeaux to be a member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas (ABT) as well as being responsible for the distribution of controlled substances and weapons in the Mauriceville area,” Thursday’s Orange County Sheriff’s Office release said. “The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is committed to pursuing felons in Orange County who may be unlawfully in possession of firearms and controlled substances with the intent of distributing those items within our community.”
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office told The Enterprise that Guilbeaux was previously taken to the Orange County jail in 2014 for a parole violation. The violation appears to be related to a bond issue, which prompted a warrant to be issued for Guilbeaux who was charged with the felony offense of theft in 2013.
No further information was immediately available.
