Remulla son charged before local court for importation of illegal drugs – The Manila Times

CHARGES of violating Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022” were filed against the eldest son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin 'Boying' Remulla, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Friday.
According to PDEA, the case was filed against Juanito Jose Remulla 3rd, 38, on Thursday, before the Office of the City Prosecutor-Las Piñas City.
Juanito is facing criminal charges after he was arrested for supposedly claiming P1.25 million worth of “kush” in a controlled delivery operation in Las Piñas City.
He will be facing charges for violation of Section 4 Article 2 of RA 9165 for the importation of dangerous drugs.
An official PDEA statement said that the arrest of Juanito occurred at 11:10 a.m. of October 11 at Block 6, Lot 7, Primrose St., Ponte Verde BF Resort Village, Talon Dos but was reported only two days later.
During the operation, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) seized 893.91 grams of marijuana kush, a parcel with invoice indicating the shipper/consignee with two brown paper pouches attached and bubble wrapped each where plastic pouches of kush were found; one blue clipboard, a parcel receipt and one driver's license card.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) is a composite anti-narcotics team which includes the PDEA.
