Police: Cocaine, other drugs seized from New London apartment – CT Insider

NEW LONDON — Officers charged a New London man with operating a drug factory Thursday afternoon after they found about 35 grams of cocaine, other drugs and packaging materials in his apartment, according to the New London Police Department.
Law enforcement with the police department’s Vice and Narcotic Unit and Emergency Response Team, as well as the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, served a search and seizure warrant at an apartment on Truman Street around 2 p.m., police said.
During the search, officers found two firearms, ammunition, about 35 grams of powdered cocaine, a small amount of crack cocaine, about 4 ounces of marijuana, packaging materials, scales and $97,000 in cash, the police department said.
Police said they charged a resident of the apartment, 37-year-old Kenneth Barnhill, with operating a drug factory, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics and criminal possession of a firearm.
Barnhill was released after posting a $150,000 bond, police said.
