Task force agents make drug bust in Mapleton – KEYC

MAPLETON, Minn. (KEYC) – A Mapleton man has been booked into the Blue Earth County Jail after drug task force agents seized a wide variety of illegal drugs during a search warrant on Thursday.
Agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force obtained the search warrant for the rural Mapleton home of Michael Allen Smith, 38, after he sold 30 grams of meth to a Drug Task Force informant.
Drugs seized during the warrant included an additional 75 grams of meth, 44 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, a half pound of marijuana and prescription medications.
Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the task force with the warrant and arrest.
Smith was currently out on bail from a previous arrest after agents found meth as well as numerous illegally possessed firearms at his home back in November.
