Man found with drugs and handgun during traffic stop – KGNS

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) – A routine traffic stop results in the discovery of drugs and a weapon.
Laredo Police arrested 26-year-olld Eric Alejandro Rodriguez and charged him with possession and unlawfully carrying of a weapon.
The incident happened on Wednesday, April 6 when officers working Operation Lone Star pulled over a Chevrolet Malibu at the 1100 block of Sherman Street.
During the investigation, officers found a 20-dollar bill with cocaine, as well as a 9mm handgun concealed underneath the car seat.
Rodriguez, the driver of the vehicle was arrested, and the case was turned over to the ATF Task Force.
