NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio
Drug investigation: Avon Belden Road
On March 23, an officer observed a transaction in a gas station parking lot. Police followed the car after it left the parking lot and stopped the driver for a traffic violation. The driver had a suspended license, and suspected marijuana was found in the car. The 18-year-old was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs and driving under OVI suspension.
Drunk driving: Center Ridge Road
On March 29, police stopped a driver for a traffic violation and determined that he was under the influence. He was charged with drunk driving.
Warrant arrest: Avalon Drive
Police stopped a driver for an expired registration on March 29. The man had a suspended license and active warrants through Elyria and Cleveland Heights police. He was arrested and charged with marijuana and paraphernalia possession. Unable to post bond, he was transferred to Lorain County Jail.
Receiving stolen property: US 20
On March 19, a driver was charged with receiving stolen property for having stolen plates.
Drunk driving: Stoney Ridge Road
Police were dispatched for a traffic complaint on March 23. A driver was arrested and charged with drunk driving.
Hit-skip accident: Avon Belden Road
A hit-skip accident was reported on March 11. After an investigation, the at-fault driver was located and cited for careless operation and stopping after an accident.
Menacing by stalking: Center Ridge Road
A woman reported finding a tracking device inside her car on March 28.
