OPP BRIEFS: Illegal drugs seized near Arnprior, theft, assault and mischief charges, domestic dispute – Pembroke Observer

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has seized illegal drugs and charged two individuals following a traffic stop on Highway 417 near Arnprior on March 24.

Police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine as well as cell phones and other items associated with drug trafficking.

As a result of an investigation, Kayla Lariviere, 34 and Colin Campbell, 32, both of Renfrew, were charged with:

Lariviere was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on May 4.

Campbell remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew for a bail hearing on April 1.

On Tuesday, March 22, at approximately 5 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft call for service at a residence on Letterkenny Road, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.

A gate and locks were reported stolen sometime during that day.

On Monday, March 21 at approximately 3 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a dispute call for service at a residence in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged Derek Hagan, 48, of Palmer Rapids with the following Criminal Code offences:

The accused was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, April 13, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

On Monday, March 21, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic disturbance call for service, which occurred at a residence in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 37-year-old from Renfrew with the following Criminal Code offence:

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, April 13 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
