Several guns, drugs and stolen cars recovered during multi-jurisdictional drug bust (City of South Fulton Police Department)
SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — South Fulton police have teamed up with other metro Atlanta authorities for a sting they’re calling “Operation March Madness.”
Despite rains on Friday, officers from South Fulton, Atlanta and Fulton County, as well Fulton County deputies and agents from the GBI and Homeland Security, targeted known hot spots of crime activity.

Over a twelve-hour period, authorities wrote traffic tickets, recovered stolen cars, and seized several guns and a large amount of drugs.
South Fulton’s Narcotics and Gang Units recovered 681 grams of marijuana, three grams of mushrooms, five MDMA pills and six firearms. They also found six firearms. Police seized two cars and $1,045 in cash. Two wanted people were located and 13 people were arrested.
The C.O.R.E. Unit from South Fulton police also located a wanted person and recovered a gun.
South Fulton’s V.I.P.E.R. Unit wrote two traffic tickets and arrested one person with narcotics.
K9 Units and Traffic Units from South Fulton also wrote two traffic tickets each.
Atlanta police recovered two stolen vehicles, located one wanted person and wrote 12 traffic tickets during the sting.

There is no word at this time what charges those arrested face.
