65 people arrested in Gwinnett County for drugs, guns and more – CBS 46 News
ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) – The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office just arrested 65 people in a sting operation.
The sting operation was titled Operation One Star and consisted of 95 deputies and 8 crime scene analysts.
The operation utilized 3,812 staffing hours, targeting areas in Gwinnett County with high crime percentages, according to a press release.
During the operation, deputies came into contact with 267 suspects, 22 (12%) of these suspects had firearms, 65 suspects were apprehended, 155 arrest warrants were obtained, and 189 citations were issued. Many of these suspects were in possession of narcotics, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
