4 Scotland County inmates face multiple felonies after found with drugs, phones, weapons – WMBF

SCOTLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Four inmates at the Scotland Correctional Institution are facing multiple felony charges after being caught with various contraband, including drugs and weapons.
The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division said 26-year-old Victor Flavien Ancelin was caught with 15 bags of crystal meth, one shank, two bags of tobacco and a cell phone. He faces four felony charges.
A 25-year-old inmate, Debarren Raekwon Best was found with 15 bags of multi-color ecstasy pills totaling 300 pills and a shank. He faces three felony charges.
SCSO charged 31-year-old Joshua L. Brooks also faces three felony charges after being found with four bags of marijuana, three cell phones, small empty plastic bags, a battery charger and a digital scale.
The fourth inmate, 32-year-old Lorenzo Omar Cherry, was charged with two felonies. Officers found 106 suboxone strips on Cherry.
No bonds were issued for any of the suspects as they are current inmates.
