MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Mount Vernon man accused of selling drugs out of his home was arrested Monday morning.
At around 6:20 a.m., members of the Mount Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department High Risk Team served a search warrant at a home in the 2300 block of Logan in Mount Vernon.
The Jefferson County search warrant was obtained after an investigation by the Mount Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit indicated that illegal drugs were being sold at the home, according to Mount Vernon police.
Detectives said they found cocaine, cannabis, drug equipment and packaging materials during a search of the house.
A 32-year-old man who lived there was taken into custody on charges of possession of cocaine — between 1 and 15 grams — and possession of cannabis — between 30 and 500 grams — with intent to deliver; and possession of drug equipment.
The man was booked into the Jefferson County Justice Center.
