SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford police got weapons and drugs off of the streets, following an arrest on Sunday.
Around 4:34 p.m., officers on patrol at the intersection of North Street and Woolford Street spotted 20-year-old Jonathan Dugazon of Seaford sitting in his parked vehicle. Officers were aware of active capias for Dugazon’s arrest. Those capias were in relation to failing to appear in court on a firearm related case.
As officers approached Dugazon, they saw him reaching down between his legs. Dugazon was arrested without incident. A search of his vehicle turned up a loaded 9mm handgun. When officers searched Dugazon’s person, they found a concealed machete, marijuana, and cash.
Dugazon is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Department of Corrections in lieu of $15,000 secured bond for the capias, and $24,100 cash bond for the new charges.
