Three arrested after drugs found in police search – Watertown Public Opinion

Three people were arrested Wednesday evening following a police search of a residence where illegal drugs were found.
The search by the Watertown Police Department was at 6:07 p.m. in the 100 block of First Avenue Southwest. Police officers were executing a search warrant and found methamphetamine, numerous illegally possessed prescription pills and psilocybin mushrooms in the residence, according to a news release from the police department. Evidence of distribution of the illegal substances was also discovered.
Diego Villarreal, 28, Shanda Carder, 40, and Elizabeth Johnson, 41, all of Watertown, were each arrested. A safety plan was also established for a 3-year-old child in the home at the time of the search.
Villarreal is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, ingestion of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a place where drugs are kept, sold or used.
Johnson is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, ingestion of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carder is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, three counts of ingestion of a controlled substance, inhabiting a room knowing drugs are kept or used there and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Johnson is on probation and Carder was on parole. Both were held on parole or probation detainers.
